Weight Loss – Should We Be Dieting Or Eating Healthy Diets?

What is the deal with women and weight loss? What had to have been said to so many women that made them believe that the best way for weight loss is to drive themselves crazy by taking these fad diets that are not working for them?

Have we as women not figured out yet that the best plan for weight loss and keeping the weight off is to eat healthy and take care of our bodies inside and out. If we eat smaller portions of food from various food groups, drink more water, exercise and get more sleep, our bodies will be healthier and the weight will fall off naturally.

The problem with women and everyone in general is that we have become physically lazy and want the “quicker fix”. Who wants to think that after 12 hours of working in a day to earn a living, or taking care of the kids, I have to now go running or do some type of workout? Not many people do, and that is why some of our bodies look the way they do.

No one is saying that you have to go over board with exercise, but just 30 minutes a day 3 times a week will allow your body to get the burn that it needs to rid the body of the fat. Eating healthy along with rest and lack of stress will aid in weight loss.

Even if you can just do a slow jog for an hour 5 days a week will increase your weight loss by burning calories from fat. Throw in a little weight training and you will be set in losing those pounds before you know it. Another problem that women come across is thinking that every diet is for everyone. We think that our girlfriends diet that made her lose 10 pounds is going to make us lose the same 10 pounds, but that is not necessarily true . Every woman’s body is different, therefore what worked for your friend may or may not work for you.

With all of the hoopla about dieting these days, why aren’t women just focusing more on eating healthier and natural weight loss. Dieting should be thought of as what you are consuming, not how you are losing weight. A healthy diet will not only help you to keep a healthy weight, but also keeps you looking younger, keeps wrinkles from forming, makes your nails stronger and your hair healthier.

Eating healthy and getting the right amounts of exercise for your body will allow you to feel more relaxed and more confident about yourself. Exercise also helps relax your body and rid it of the stress that it carries day in and day out.

So, for all of the millions of women out there who are obsessing over weight loss… stop doing so NOW! Know that your diet is only what you make of it. Eating healthy foods and smaller potions along with the right type of exercise for your body will have the weight coming off automatically. Doing these things will not only allow you to lose weight, but gain esteem and peace of mind.
